Mohler, D.D.S. and his team are recognized leaders in delivering comprehensive dental care to people suffering from dental problems. With years of experience treating patients, we proudly relate success stories of patients who come to us from all over the communities of the Lowcountry of South Carolina.
Our team supports your unique needs as a patient from the moment they make the first call. We ask about your dental history, your particular concerns, and any history of trauma to the mouth. We listen to your story and appreciate the concerns you may have. We then discuss the easiest and safest way to bring you the comfort and care you need.
We try to design a treatment plan in which all treatment can be completed in one comprehensive visit using optimal sedation options. If you choose the option of I.V. sedation or general anesthesia, your sedation/anesthesia is administered and monitored by a physician anesthesiologist. We operate with a team approach and coordinate with multiple specialties so that we can complete all necessary work in one visit, if possible.

Dr. Mohler, and his wife, Janine, established their practice in 1994 with one single goal in mind – to provide their guests with the most advanced dental healthcare, in a modern, relaxed environment. Dr. Mohler is continually improving his education, technology, and office environment in an unending pursuit of that goal.
Dr. Mohler is a 1986 graduate of Loyola University School of Dentistry and practiced in St. Louis for three years. After a five-year tour in the US Navy Dental Corps, he came to Beaufort in 1992.
Dr. Mohler has taken numerous courses at prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), including: Advanced Anterior Aesthetics, Advanced Posterior Aesthetics, Advanced Adhesive Aesthetic Dentistry, Practical Occlusion for the Cosmetic Dentist, and the Master Anterior Aesthetics course.
Dr. Mohler is a graduate of the core curriculum of LVI, and as such, has earned his fellowship degree. His most recent training is in the area of the Temporomandibular Joints (TMJ) and correction of associated Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMD). His advanced training in occlusion, or how the teeth fit together, has a direct benefit on the restoration of dental implants. Dr. Mohler is currently working on the mastership program at LVI, which will culminate in the award of LVI Master, LVIM, the highest award in cosmetic dentistry. Less than 1% of dentists internationally are certified at this level.
Dr. Mohler is also a member of the AACD, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He places only the highest quality restorations, from laboratory processed Empress crowns to one-visit porcelain restorations utilizing the latest in CAD CAM dentistry. These one-visit porcelain restorations are fabricated in-office using his CEREC computer.
Dr. Mohler’s thirst for continuing education is unrivaled in this area. He typically completes up to 150 hours of continuing education each year, far surpassing the 14 hours required by the SC Dental Board.
Janine Mohler graduated from Rutgers University College of Medicine and Dentistry, obtaining her R.D.H. in 1981. She has extensive practice in all aspects of dental hygiene with special emphasis on pediatric and orthodontic care.
Dr. Mohler and Janine are the parents of Nina, Chase, Kylie, Carolina, and their newest addition, Macie Bruce.

Hygienist - Jane Townsend Jane has been a hygienist for 25 years and joined Dr. Mohler’s team in 2004. She received her bachelor degree from Ohio State University in 1983. In 1996 she relocated to Hilton Head Island, SC where she worked for a general practice and a periodontal practice. Jane is experienced in a wide variety within the dental field and is anesthesia certified. She has continued her education by taking classes at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). She enjoys Ohio State football, her three dogs, and vacationing on cruises. |

Dental Assistant - Debbie Howard Debbie has been a Dental Assistant for over 9 yrs, During this time she has assisted in areas of Endodontic, Surgical, Prosthetic, and Reconstructive. Born in England and moved to the US in 1993, Debbie moved to Beaufort to join our office in March 2008. She enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling. |

Dental Assistant - Meaghan Miller Meaghan Miller has been a team member since November of 2007. She was born and raised in Michigan where she studied Mathematics at the University of Michigan. She and her husband Luke moved to Beaufort, South Carolina in June of 2006. Meaghan loves dental assisting and is always eager to learn more about dentistry. She has continued her education by taking classes at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI). She currently is enrolled in school and aspires to be a dental hygienist. Meaghan enjoys traveling, sports, and playing with her two dogs. |
